Dr. Elena Negrea-Busuioc is Associate Professor at the College for Communication and Public Relations and researcher affiliated with Center for Research in Communication (SNSPA). She teaches classes on visual communication, metaphor in communication and communication of the European Union. Dr. Negrea-Busuioc holds a PhD in Philology from the University of Bucharest (thesis title: Irony in the journalistic discourse) and was awarded a Senior Fulbright Award to conduct research on deliberate metaphors in communication at Portland State University (Oct 2013-Mar 2014). Since 2010, she is editor in chief of Romanian Journal of Communication and Public Relations. Dr. Negrea-Busuioc has authored a book, she has co-edited other two books and has published several book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
