Andrei Găitănaru holds a PhD in Engineering Science, with a specialization in Automatics and Computers from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, with a thesis titled “Contributions in Projecting and Implementing eLearning Platforms”. He is the Director of the Informatics Department at SNSPA and an associate professor at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, starting with 1999. He has authored several books, textbooks and scientific articles about information and communication technology, educational systems, and eLearning. He has presented papers in a series of national and international conferences (in France, Spain, Belgium, USA and Romania). He has participated in a number of projects in the field of education, in professional trainings and visiting tracks to France, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Great Britain, and the USA. He coordinates and acts as a member in various national and international projects in the field of education.
